WILLIAM N. HARTZOG, OZARK, AL, Sep 23, 1939
William N. Hartzog, one of Dale County's oldest citizens died Thursday at 4:30 pm at the Gibson hospital, Enterprise. Mr. Hartzog had spent most of his life in Dale County. He was striken with a heart attack living only a few minutes. He is survived by three brothers, John, Albert and Ambrose Hartzog of Ariton, AL; one sister, Mrs Andrew Slawson of Elamville, AL; his wife, Mrs. Narcissus M. Hartzog of Ariton and the following children: J. F Hartzog of Ariton, W. J. Hartzog of Kissimmee, FL, J. A. Hartzog of Ariton, Jessie W. Hartzog of Ozark, Prof. Thomas A. Hartzog of Echo, AL, Mrs Arnie Patterson of Ariton, AL, Mrs Lafayette Jackson of River Junction, FL, Mrs. Annie H. Reynolds of Eufaula, AL and Mrs Viola Newton of Dothan. Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church of Ariton, AL with Rev. Etheridge officiating, assisted by P. W. Lett. Interment will be in the city cemetery.
