There is a W. C. Thomas listed in the 1880 Census of Barbour Co. Atkinson Beat #12.
He is living in house #12 listed as W.C. Thomas wm 24 AL GA GA, wife L. J. wf 30 GA GA GA and one daughter Elizabeth wf 3 AL AL GA This would be the right information for William listed in 1860 Census Barbour County listed as son of Alfred.

In house # 20 is J. E. A. Barker and Sarah L. Thomas. Sarah L. Thomas Barker was a sister to the William listed in 1860 census.

In house #25 is John Helms who has a daughter Mary E. age 24. I. C. A. Thomas brother of William married Mary Eunice Helms.
