The guy you mentioned earlier never contacted me concerning Geo.
Samuel Folmar, but I did ask Karen about him & his wife, & she said his
wife left him, claiming that he was mean to her. The wife said that
when she died, she didn't even want to be buried in the same cemetery
with him. As it happened, she died first, & the children asked their
daddy what they should do. He told them to honor their mother's wishes
& go ahead & bury her at Darien & then bury him in Luverne.
I did get the photos of Geo. Samuel & wife from Karen. I had seen
the one of Geo. Samuel before some time or other, but I had never seen
the one of his wife before. I've scanned & edited the photo of Geo.
Samuel already & hope to scan & edit the one of his wife tomorrow. Geo.
Samuel was apparently very humpbacked. Aunt Rita says she can remember
Pa Roy (my grandfather) talking about "Uncle Humpbacked George." It
seems he was known to everyone as either "Humpbacked George" or "Humpy
George."
